The club caters for a wide range of ages and abilities. We offer introduction to kayaking sessions at the club in West Bay as well as instructor led skills development to help you gain confidence on the water or work towards your Paddle UK Paddle Awards.

Wareham Frome River Trip 16th August 2026

From peaceful riverbanks near Wareham to the vibrant quayside of Poole’s Purbeck waters, a club kayak trip along the River Frome offered newly trained paddlers the perfect blend of practical coaching and lively navigation. Under the watchful eye of coach Paula, the group tackled winding bends, overhanging branches, and local wildlife, pausing on a gravel bank for pasties and an impromptu poetry reading. Basking in glorious sunshine, the day wrapped up with a refreshing dip, swift gear packing, and well-earned drinks outside The George back in West Bay. - Report by Annette Atkinson

Learn to Roll a Kayak

Winter Pool Sessions

Indoor kayaking sessions through the winter. Learn basic skills or progress to rolling in the safety of a swimming pool. Sessions run monthly from October to February.
